Our New Farm Shop Opens January 16
So we’ve got some New Year’s news.
In two weeks, we’ll open the doors to a small farm shop where you’ll be able to drop in and shop for our pastured meats and eggs — and we’ve invited some of our favorite local farmers, crafters and artisans to offer their products here, too.
We're talking organic veggies, pasture-raised beef, pickles, jams, jellies, cheeses, coffee, crafts, gifts and more.
Starting on January 16, we’ll be open Saturdays from 9am-1pm and Wednesdays from 4pm-7pm. And if you order online and schedule a farm pickup for any other available day, you’ll always be welcome to shop for additional items when you pick up your order.
It’ll be a small shop, nothing fancy, but we’ll do our best to make visiting the farm a convenient and enjoyable experience.
Here’s a quick look at the partners who are joining us and the items you can expect to find in our store:
We’re beyond excited to offer seasonal organic vegetables from Dicot Farm in Waldorf. Available offerings will expand as the weather warms up. From May to November, our shop will also be a pickup spot for Dicot Farm’s weekly and bi-weekly CSA subscribers. It’s a great way to support an amazing farm and know you’ll have a steady supply of delicious, local, fresh vegetables. Get more details and sign up here!
804 Cattle Company
We don’t produce beef. But we love to eat it, and we bet you do, too. The Brooks family at 804 Cattle Company in Upper Marlboro shares our philosophies toward raising healthy animals on pasture, and we can’t wait for you to taste what they have to offer.
You’ll love the handmade home decor and gifts, created by our talented cousin, Sharon Farrell, at Boxwood Boutique. Her throw pillows are extremely popular, and the burlap wine bags are great, too. And Boxwood Boutique got its name from two large boxwood trees you’ll see as you pull down the driveway to our farm.
Southern Comfort Berry Farm
Add a little flavor to any meal with amazing strawberry preserves, strawberry butter, apple butter BBQ sauce and salsa from our cousin Kari Jones-Ritchey at Southern Comfort Berry Farm in St. Mary’s County. Come spring, be sure to head down to her farm to pick your own strawberries on the waterfront.
Our neighbors on Edelen Road produce the most amazing pickles, relishes, jams and jellies. And when you enjoy their products, you’re also supporting their farm’s mission as a sanctuary for forgotten, abused and neglected animals.
Picker. Painter. Crafter. Creator. All are accurate descriptions, and you’ll find some real treasures from Rosie Rubbish. We’ll have her custom Maryland-themed coasters and string art available at our farm shop.
6 Planes Coffee Roasters
Six Planes Coffee Roasters is a owned by a local military family on a mission to help you brew better coffee. Their beans are sourced from the world’s best coffee growing regions and roasted to perfection right here in Charles County.
Clover Hill Dairy
Owned and operated by the Amish community in St. Mary’s County, Clover Hill Dairy is known for an impressive variety of local, farm-produced cheese. We’ll have a selection of their most popular cheeses for you to enjoy.
We’ll have more updates as we get closer to opening. Maybe some more partners and products to highlight, too. Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest news.
Happy New Year!
